Raindancer Steakhouse

The Raindancer is back! We hadn’t been in years and so glad we did. The food and service were excellent. From the moment I spoke to the hostess I knew this would be the place. The piano bar brings you back to a different time and place. Our waiter Mario was excellent! Nicky also came by to check on us. We loved how attentive the staff was and the quality of the meal. We ordered filet mignon and a sweet potato. The salad was great with the original green goddess dressing. The French onion soup was so good too! Can’t wait to go back!

Had a great meal consisting of the lobster bisque to start followed up with a 9oz filet with a blue cheese crust and a side of creamed corn. This meal did not disappoint. Cream corn was interesting and a bit different than what I was used to but still good. Nicky came over at the end to check in on our experience and our waiter Ted was amazing. I highly recommend Raindancers and will be back. Great atmosphere and bar scene too. I’m looking forward to experiencing their burgers for lunch.

We celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary and were congratulated and welcomed from the minute we walked in the door. The steak was cooked perfectly and the flavor was great. I got the filet mignon and hubby got the delmonico steak. The steaks came with baked potatoes and salads. We also had the creme brulee and they gave us a card that said happy anniversary. They were more than happy to take pictures for us, that was very nice, we were able to share them with family on fb. It's pretty dark inside but the ambiance is nice. The ceiling inside has little wood shingles. Looked pretty cool. We were happy with everything and it was definitely an experience to remember. Next time we would probably try to come on Friday or Saturday to see the piano player. It is expensive, occasion place for us for sure. We loved it though and are so happy we chose this for our celebration 💖👰‍♂️

Okay I’m going to write the positives first. The atmosphere of the place was great. The live singer was awesome and really set the mood for the place. I had the Delmonico steak and I can say it was fantastic. The sweet potato that came with it was great. You can tell that they really cared about their food presentation. Finally, the service was very good. Now onto the stuff we didn’t like as much. We got water and lemon for our drinks, the lemons were very old, dry, and had a bitter taste. The salad was also old and you could tell by how brown the leaves were. Although the dressing was good and the you can tell the croutons were made in-house. The price is a little bit on the high side but I think it’s still worth it for an occasion.

Food was absolutely astounding. The price for a dry aged 24oz ribeye was very respectable and the flavor was perfect with my side of seasoned, marinated mushrooms. I think the only thing they could do to make the steak the best I've ever had is by giving a tiny side of some sort of balsamic wine sauce (just enough to compliment the nuttiness of the steak) and I wish they rendered the fat a little more to a golden yellow crust to give that nutty, almost cheesy quality. Definite 5/5 However, the service was a bit weird. Came in and I was the only one up front for a good 5 mins. Then an older gentleman, that reminded me of Jeeves with a Latin accent, told me someone would be right with me. He proceeded to argue with a lady, who I assumed to be the hostess, about something. 5 mins later she came up to me and greeted me. I told her it was just me that would be dining. She recommended the lounge and bar as it's full service, however, I'd rather sit at a table with guaranteed service if I'm paying for an expensive dinner and paying a tip. Also, I don't really like bars with huge molded wood ledges. Makes it hard to bring the food to your face without making a mess, also my legs don't fit in bar stools. She requested I sit over at this side table.in the lounge while I wait. She came back over a minute or two later and said it was gonna be a few before they can get a table and recommended the lounge again and I said "it's okay, I'll wait". And she seemed a little defeated for a moment (or maybe I'm reading a little too much into her facial expressions). 5 minutes later, Jeeves came back and brought me to the table and said "it's now safe to remove your hat". And I assumed he meant "please take your hat off sir", so Took my hat off. It didn't seem like there was a dress code. If there was, I didn't see any signs for one. My friend later told me he doesn't go here because he said there is a dress code, but I can't confirm that. I ordered, but for some reason they wouldn't allow me to switch out my potato for a side salad? Whatever. Food was good, so I didn't care at the end. Either way, My waiter was prompt, constantly checked on me, and was friendly. Service 4/5 Atmosphere was your average old school steakhouse. Dim with yellow lighting and comfy booths and tables. Not crazy, they had a neat red neon sign out front though. Atmosphere 4/5
